"Conversation with a Christian" seminars

4th October, 2016

On 4th October 2016 Rev. Dr. Richard CARTER launched a series of seminars titled "Conversation with a Christian" at Concordia International School (CIS) in Hong Kong. This series is designed to advance a sense of Christian identity for CIS which is operated solely by The Lutheran Church - Hong Kong Synod (LCHKS).

Serving on behalf of Concordia Theological Seminary (CTS), Dr. CARTER engaged CIS students and teachers, who were assembled in the school chapel, in a meaningful conversation about the distinctive status of Christianity among the world religions and about the unique position of Jesus in whom God's benevolence towards humankind was manifested.

With Dr. CARTER's theological and educational acumen, CTS is able to contribute to the holistic development of the international schools which are operated by the LCHKS for the benefit of English-speaking expatriate families living in Hong Kong. Since in Jesus God articulated his care for all people, our Synod gladly responds to the divine invitation to serve the community and unweariedly carries out this God-given service through its own network of both local and international schools as well as through the Lutheran Social Service.
