On 29 April (Fri) 2016 the Pastoral Conference of The Lutheran Church Hong Kong Synod (LCHKS) and Concordia Theological Seminary (ATESEA Member & ATA Associate Member) organised the conference "Luther, Galatians, and Christian Freedom: Reformation Anniversary Lecture" [路德、加拉太書、與基督徒的自由 宗教改革紀念演講].
The lecturer was Rev. Dr. Michael J. PAUL [白霈德], an adjunct professor at China Lutheran Seminary (Taiwan) [台灣中華信義神學院的兼任老師], whereas the respondent - Dr. Ivan YIM [嚴鳳翔博士], CTS Vice-President.
The conference was inaugurated by Rev. Daniel Y. S. LI, First Vice-President of The LCHKS, whereas the final benediction was given by Rev. Paul Y. S. CHAN, Chairman of the Seminary Board of Control.
The audience could be estimated at 74 persons including ministers, teachers, seminary students and other guests. The conference was also attended by Rev. Arthur RICKMAN (LCMS Greater China Area Director), Rev. Carl HANSON (LCMS missionary), Rev. Peter KOLB (LCMS Regional Chaplain for Asia), Rev. Roy ASKINS (LCMS Director of Communication for Asia) and Rev. Joel SCHEIWE who serves as a pastor of Church of All Nations in Repulse Bay.
